That’s some funny shit right there. The interview remix, not the situation.
I know by now I’m speaking to an empty room. Been almost 5 years gone from this ol’ bessie. But she still runs.
That’s what intrigues me about blogging. It’s semi-permanent. And I say that because nothing is permanent. I’ve been gone all this time yet it’s still here. I can document the exciting to the mundane and it’s all here. I can lose everything and yet what I document here will remain here. For a while anyway. And I’m thankful for that. Because I want my son, someday, to sit down and read all that I’ve written over the rest of my lifetime. He’s not so interested now, but in the future…
And what a long strange trip it’s been. So far.
I’m a movie buff. Love a good story. And if I come across a really good movie, which is rare, I like to share.
I bought this movie in a $5 bin because I vaguely remember hearing good things about it. And I like Mark Wahlberg. Had it for months before I got around to watching it and boy, talk about a pleasant surprise. I thought it was going to be just another boxing movie but it turned out to be more than that. The story line was good, the characters were fascinating to me and the acting was top notch. Christian Bale blew me away. I couldn’t believe he was acting. I’ve watched it twice and it will be a permanent fixture in my collection. Not much of a review but hey, what do you expect for two cents.
I am quickly becoming a huge fan of this guy.
I’m glad I took a chance and voted for Obama. I liked him then. But now, he’s really starting to grow on me.
I’ve heard that one of the leading causes of the common cold is the rhinovirus. Well that makes sense because last weekend it felt like a rhino ran. my. ass. over. Then came back to wipe off his feet on my backside. And while I had completely lost my appetite, I knew I had to eat something. The only thing that came to mind was an old acronym, BRAT. But I wasn’t sure what it stood for. I think it was Beer, Rum, Absolute, Tequila. Seems to be working quite well.
Here’s the deal:
1) Pick a banner of your choice over at Hilly’s.
2) Post the banner on your blog and tell everyone at least one thing you love about yourself. (There are sooo many. *sigh* Where to begin…)
3) Ask your friends to post one thing that they love about you too. (I’m not expecting too much, but if you want to leave really snarky, smart-ass and insulting comments, I would appreciate it!!)
4) Enjoy yourself! (Oh, I will)
